Ladera Heights Real Estate

Hilltop luxury with ocean and city views.

The story of Ladera Heights

Developed in the late 1950s and 1960s on the slopes between Culver City and Inglewood, Ladera Heights drew Black professionals priced out of other view neighborhoods. Its custom post-and-beam and mid-century modern homes — many by notable Southern California architects — sit on oversized lots with sweeping westward views toward the Pacific. The neighborhood became a magnet for Black entertainers, athletes, and executives, earning it the nickname 'the Black Beverly Hills' alongside View Park and Baldwin Hills.
