Pacific Palisades Real Estate

A coastal village on the Santa Monica bluffs.

The story of Pacific Palisades

Founded in 1922 by the Methodist Church as a Chautauqua-style intellectual retreat, Pacific Palisades grew into a tight-knit village of architecturally significant homes on the bluffs above Santa Monica Bay. Mid-century émigrés including Thomas Mann, Bertolt Brecht, and the Eames family built homes here, and the neighborhood has remained a quiet enclave for writers, directors, and entrepreneurs. From the Riviera and the Huntington to the Alphabet Streets and the Highlands, the Palisades pairs ocean views and canyon trails with one of the most engaged community cultures on the Westside — now in active rebuild after the 2025 wildfires.
